Welcome to the Self Reliance Foundation, where we believe that the future is not a matter of chance– it is a matter of choice.  The Self Reliance Foundation strives to break down information barriers in the United States and throughout the world, to ensure that all people are empowered with access to information, programs and services intended to benefit all.

At its core, the Self Reliance Foundation is an information equity organization.  Our work is animated by a firm belief that knowledge is power, and an activism that seeks to empower those suffering from lack of access to information or support services.  Internationally, that includes peoples living under dictatorships or in countries where access to news and communications is censored, restricted, or banned.  Domestically, that includes socio-economically disadvantaged communities traditionally under-engaged with civil society.

For over 30 years, the Self Reliance Foundation has been effecting positive change in the world through the development and implementation of quality information campaigns that serve to inform millions of people and empower them to improve their quality of life.  Share our vision and join us in our mission!
