Government
The government’s various agencies have been important partners of SRF’s U.S. programs over the years. SRF has developed educational campaigns reaching the Hispanic population to address everything from the dangers of pesticide exposure among migrant farm workers to household lead exposure (Environmental Protection Agency – EPA); tips on how to use energy efficiently and reduce energy bills (Department of Energy – DOE); motivating Hispanic students to study math and science (National Science Foundation- NSF); and the importance of cancer screening (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention – CDC).
We have worked closely with our government partners not only to raise awareness of important issues that affect the Hispanic community, but also to refer the public to additional resources– community-based services, printed information in Spanish, or specialized hotlines to address issues of concern.
Our government partners to date have included the U.S. Department of Transportation, Department of Justice, Department of Agriculture, Department of Health and Human Services, Department of State, National Institutes of Health, in addition to the aforementioned EPA, NSF, NIH, CDC, and DOE.
For more information on our government partnerships, please contact Brigitte Savage, SRF’s Director of Development.
